Pay For The Result?

Our business model is mostly based on 'pay for results', why? Quite simply, you wouldn't hire someone to complete a project or give you advice if you didn't believe you would at least break even on the amount that it cost you to hire that person so any person that knows they can perform should have no problem being paid based on their performance.

Paying for the result puts the risk on us because you will either be as well off as you are now, or better off. It also demonstrates our commitment to, and confidence in our ability to do the absolute best quality of work.

Imagine for a moment you were thinking about renovating your house before selling it, and you talked to two different building contractors about getting the work done.
The first contractor inspects inspects your house and gives you a quote.

While the second contractor takes the time to listen to what you want, talks it over with you and then says he's not going to charge you, instead he's so convinced that the changes he can make will add to the value of your house that he's only going to charge you 50% of the profit you make on selling your house above its current, unrenovated market value.

Would you renovate your house? And which contractor would you hire?

Now this works really well for tangible results, where an outcome is directly measurable.
Such as an increase in sales from an improved sales copy or an increase in visitors arriving from google because of improved search engine rankings.

In these instances you'll give us a percentage of the added profit you make over a period of time, the specifics will be negotiated on a case by case basis before any work commences and will depend on the nature of the work and the time involved.

Unfortunately some things aren't so easily measurable so its not really possible to use this model as such. For example for new websites, it can take significant time to rank well in google, especially for competitive keywords (google deliberately puts a penalty on new sites for sometime to avoid people abusing its rankings with spam) so in these instances we'll discuss with you which goal must be met before we get paid the amount we quote you before commencing the work.

For example, you own a hairdressing salon in Carlton and you want people to be able to find you online so we get paid upon your new website ranking in the top 3 results for "hairdressers in Carlton" on google.com.au.

Another example would be you like the theme of your online business and you want that same style transfered in print so you ask us to design your stationary, business cards and brochures.
So we are happy to discuss being paid a set amount on the project completion or a combination of performance incentive and fixed rate pay depending on your circumstances. We just prefer to be paid on our performance for projects where its realistic.

The other issue is where there are significant costs that we have to cover as part of our work such as purchasing stock photos or software licenses and in these cases, we'll discuss the situation with you before commencing the project because in situations where there are significant costs to us you will need to pay our costs first.

We also recognise the value of relationships, good business is not about writing up a bullet proof contract your lawyer would approve of, its about having the human aspect, knowing who you can call and knowing they know your situation and will help you out.

Which is why we'd like to hear from you, talk about your business needs and give you some advice that you can go out and use; because we recognise that when you when you get results from a small bit of advice you'll naturally want to see what else we can do for you.

So please feel free to contact us if you'd like to discuss how we can help you expand your business.
